CEVIPOL
Centre d'étude de la vie politique
The Centre d'étude de la vie politique (Cevipol) is a research unit attached to the Institute of European studies and to the Faculty of social, political and economic science of the Université Libre de Bruxelles.
Its main interest is fundamental research, but it is also involved in teaching and popularisation activities aimed at the general public.
Cevipol consists of permanent researchers (professors, assistant professors, FNRS researchers, Ph. D. students...), of “associated" members specialized in sister disciplines (sociology, law, geography, history) and of correspondents from other universities.
CTP
Centre de théorie politique
The Centre of Political Theory (CTP) includes several researchers and academics from the ULB who discuss and research the new conditions of political integration, socialization, cultural reproduction in complex denationalized societies.
Under this theme, the main issues discussed are:
-Identity
-Citizenship
-Europe
-Media
-Language and society
-Political theology and semiology
-Liberalism, communautarism and identity
- The European example
-For a philosophy of the university in a world in crisis
GERME
Groupe d'études sur l'Ethnicité, le Racisme, les Migrations et l'Exclusion
Founded in 1995 by several researchers from the ULB interested in migration studies and the issue of racism, the GERME has been leading research on the following issues:
-European dimensions of immigration and integration policies
-public, social and preventive policies for non-native citizens or for citizens being marginalised
-interactive dimensions of social, political and civil integration (voting rights for non-native citizens) and all issues related to citizenship
GRAP
Groupe de recherche sur l'action publique
Created in 2003, the GRAP (Group for research on public action) develops analysis on the changes in the way the State acts in various domains. On the basis of ground surveys mobilizing various methods (face-to-face interviews, focus groups, panels, text analysis, participative observation...), the goal is to see how State action is modified in order to enrich the theoretical and empirical debates on public action.

REPI
Recherche et enseignement en politique internationale
The REPI is a research network created by the Faculty of Social, Economic and Political Sciences, the Faculty of Law, the Institute of Sociology and the Institute of European Studies . Its scientific activities concentrate mainly on International Politics, from a Political Science and International Relations perspective, in close relation with International Law, International Economy, Sociology, Development Studies, as well as Strategic Studies and Peace and Conflict Studies. It includes several research centers of the ULB dealing with International Law; Development; Globalization; Post-Communist and Central and Eastern European Studies; Latin American Studies; History of the European Construction; Peace and Citizenship Studies.
