Thierry Boereboom

Since october 2005, Thierry Boereboom is a
teaching assistant at the Geography Department of
the Université Libre de Bruxelles. He is
responsible for seminars and exercises linked to
glaciology and geomorphology courses. He is also
a PhD student, interested in periglacial
environment. His research is mainly focused on
gases characteristics enclosed in ice. He works
on two different topics: ice wedges
characteristics (texture, fabric, total gas
content and gas composition) and gas content
analysis in lake ice in permafrost environment
(and methane releases during spring). He also
participated to the basal water study of the EDML
coring. |
