François Fripiat did his doctoral fellows,
from 2006 to 2010 (BELSPO, Belgium) at the earth
sciences department of the Royal Museum for
Central Africa (Tervuren, Belgium) and the earth
and and environmental science department of the
Université Libre de Bruxelles (Brussels, Belgium).
His Ph.D. thesis was entitled "Isotopic
approaches of the silicon cycle: The Southern
Ocean case study". He
is currently starting a Postdoctoral fellows (FNRS,
Belgium) at the Laboratoire de Glaciologie (ULB,
Brussels, Belgium; Prof. J.-L.
Tison) and the geosciences departmentof the
Princeton University (New Jersey, USA; Prof. D.M.
Sigman), entitled "Nitrogen and silicon
isotopic signatures in the sea ice and surface
waters of polar oceans: Implications for modern
and past biogeochemical cycles".
